We can now reveal that the venue for our next seminar has now been confirmed at the Dalesbridge Centre in Clapham, Yorkshire.Write this date in your diaries now, Friday 26th - Sunday 28th November 2010 and make sure you keep it free, it shall be a fantastic weekend!There will be a number of competitions with fantastic prizes taking place during the weekend, but here are the ones that will need to be entered in advance.
T-SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION The winner will have the delight of seeing their entry made as the official t-shirt for CHECC 2010, receive a free t-shirt for themselves, plus free entry to the event. Deadline will be October 1st, so plenty of time for you all to come up with some fantastic designs! Send your entries to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION General Rules 1) The work must be your own.
2) The work must be displayed no bigger than A4 without border, unless otherwise stated.
3) All work must be up and displayed by 10am on Saturday morning.
4) A panel of judges will decide and their decision is final.
5) Competitors must fill out a form for each photograph.
6) Each photograph must have a caption and name of club displayed with it.
Newbie’s Photographs Submit a portfolio of your work (but don’t worry if you don’t have many photos). The photos must be cave related, underground would be preferable. You cannot have entered this class in previous years. Additional Rules: 1) The work must be displayed no bigger than A4 without border.
2) For this category, competitors may enter up to 7photos.
3) Competitors must still be a student in education doing your first degree - it doesn’t matter at what stage. Club Pro’s Photographs This competition is for the more experienced members of your university clubs. This includes people doing second degrees or those involved in some way with the club. Again the photos must be cave related, underground would be preferable. This should be a portfolio of your work. Additional Rules: 1) For this category competitors may enter up to 7 photos.
Best Club Photo This competition is for the best group photo from any club, featuring people either caving or socialising. Additional Rules: 1) Each club is allowed one entry.
Expedition Report This will go to the best expedition report experdition from summer or easter, whether sports caving or exploratory. Additional Rules: 1) The work must be your own.
3) All work must be up and displayed by 10am on Saturday morning.
4) A panel of judges will decide and their decision is final.
